VEHICLE FIRE
Shortly after 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2017, units from St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded mutual aid with St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 7 on a vehicle fire. The incident was located on I-59 southbound near mm 8. Units arrived on scene and found the vehicle on the shoulder of the interstate heavily involved in fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries occurred and there was minimal disruption to traffic.
Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
