VEHICLE CRASH

Just after 4 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded to a head on collision on Hwy 41 near Pat Smith Rd. As you can see by the photographs, the damage was extensive and the passenger car actually caught fire but was extinguished by a bystander. Two patients met the need to be transported to University Medical Center in New Orleans which is a level 1 trauma center. One patient refused to be transported to the hospital. The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.
