VEHICLE ACCIDENT

Just shortly after 4 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded with St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1 to a vehicle accident at the corner of Highway 11 and Highway 1091. Once on the scene, we found three vehicles had been involved with one vehicle on its side. Occupants in the other vehicles were ok. The driver in the vehicle on its side had to be assisted out by fire department personnel. One patient was transported to a nearby hospital and three others refused transport for further medical evaluation and treatment. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office was handling the investigation at the time that we departed. The accident did cause traffic to back up in the area until it could be cleared.
