At approximately 6:30pm on Sunday, April 29, 2012 St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 personnel along with Acadian Ambulance and law enforcement responded to I-59 Northbound just passed exit 3 for a single vehicle rollover. The vehicle crossed over through the median from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes. Only one vehicle was involved in the accident. When personnel arrived on scene, a red Ford Ranger was upside down closing off all traffic northbound. One person was ejected from the vehicle and one was still trapped but shortly extricated from the vehicle. The condition of the patients are unknown at this time but were transported to an area hospital. One patient was transported via St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 ambulance and the other by Acadian Ambulance. The Pearl River Police Department is still investigating the accidentat the time all units were able to clear the scene. Traffic was shutdown on I-59 on the northbound side for approximately one hour.
