BOOZE, CRUISE & LOSE

On, Thursday, March 8, 2018, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 assisted the Slidell Police Department, Pearl River Police Department and the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office with the annual booze, cruise & lose program. This program is presented by the Slidell Police Department in conjunction with local agencies. This program was presented to the seniors at Pearl River High School ahead of their prom and is designed to make the students aware of the dangers and consequences of drinking and driving and/or driving under the influence of any type. The program is started off with a presentation that includes real life situations where lives were effected by impaired drivers. Students then go outside and witness a simulated vehicle crash that includes all the sights and sounds of what a real crash would look like. It is our hopes that the students have a great time and make plenty of positive memories while making good decisions.
