STRUCTURE FIRE

Shortly after noon on Saturday, April 17, 2021, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded to a residential structure fire on W. Porter's River Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a single wide mobile home with light smoke. Firefighter's were able to locate a small fire and extinguish it quickly. St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1 was requested to respond, however the fire was extinguished prior to them arriving on scene. A quick thinking neighbor was able to keep the fire knocked down with a fire extinguisher prior to our arrival.

Damage was minimal to the mobile home. The homeowner's were not at home at the time of the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured. The cause is under investigation.
