OVERTURNED TRAILER

On February 26, 2026, our units were dispatched to an incident involving an overturned trailer on Interstate 59 northbound between mile markers 3 and 4.

Upon arrival, crews found that the trailer had separated from the tractor hauling it and had come to rest on its side along the shoulder. The tractor remained upright. No injuries have been reported.

Traffic in the area was moving slowly but experienced minimal impacts.

The trailer was reportedly transporting a solvent. There were no visible leaks, and the situation was stable. Out of an abundance of caution, HAZMAT specialists were consulted to determine the safest approach for removing the trailer from the interstate shoulder.

The trailer was eventually placed upright and removed from the shoulder of the interstate.
