OVERTURNED 18-WHEELER

Just after 4AM on November 28, 2023, our units responded mutual aid with St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District #7 for a vehicle crash involving an overturned 18-wheeler and a sedan. The incident occurred on I-59 northbound near mile marker 10. The 18-wheeler was hauling live chickens. One patient was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The wrecker service removed the vehicles from the roadway and the live chickens were transferred to another truck. This incident impacted traffic for much of the day.
