(VIDEO) In some areas of our fire district, fire hydrants aren't always readily available. When that happens, we rely on alternative methods to ensure we have the water we need to fight fires effectively.

We may shuttle in water using our own apparatus or receive support from neighboring departments.

We deploy portable dump tanks—large reservoirs that we continuously refill to maintain a steady water supply.

This setup allows us to keep water flowing to our engines and crews, ensuring we can protect lives and property even in areas without hydrants.

We train regularly for these scenarios so we're always ready when seconds count.
