I-59 GRASS FIRE

Around 4 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 units responded to a large grass fire on I-59 near exit 5A. Parts of the interstate were closed down at times for firefighting operations. The fire has since been placed under control and fire extinguished. Use caution in the area.
