Often times we respond to vehicle crashes that result in severe damage requiring extrication to safely remove a patient from the vehicle. On the evening of May 26, 2021, recruits in the firefighter class experienced hands on vehicle extrication training. Extrication literally requires safely taking apart a vehicle around the patient to remove them and render medical attention.
