2025 FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR

At its regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting on December 9, 2025, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 proudly recognized Fire Operator Jarrett Simmons as the 2025 Firefighter of the Year.

This prestigious award is voted on annually by employees of the fire district and presented during the final Board of Commissioners meeting of the year. Fire Operator Simmons, who joined the district nearly a year ago, has already made a significant impact through his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to community safety.

“Fire Operator Jarrett Simmons exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and dedication within our district. His positive attitude and sense of humor make him not only an outstanding firefighter but also a valued member of our fire district,” said Fire Chief Jack Dockery.

The Firefighter of the Year award reflects the values and mission of St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11: protecting lives and property while fostering teamwork and excellence among its members.
