PET OF THE WEEK

We are beyond excited to start a new adventure! St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 is partnering with the Town of Pearl River, La and St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services to present a Pet of the week! These are pets that are adoptable and are in need of a loving home. Included will be the adoptable pets information and if you feel like the pet is a match, contact information is available as well. Starting off, please meet this handsome boy Rengo!

Rengo is a 1 year and 10 month old Shepherd mix weighing 55lbs. Doesn’t he have the best ears? He was owner surrendered to the shelter when the owner’s landlord said they couldn’t keep him any longer. He is super sweet and loves to play. He is good with children and other dogs but we haven’t had him around cats. His previous owner stated he is good on a leash and rides well in the car. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He tested positive for Heartworms and we have treated him so he will need to be given a monthly Heartworm Preventative. You are welcome to come out the shelter for a meet and greet. Our adoption hours are Monday – Saturday 10a-12p and 1p-4p.
