ROLL OVER ACCIDENT

Yesterday, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on I-59 south bound. The accident occurred near mile marker 8. Fire district 7, Acadian Ambulance, Pearl River PD and Louisiana state police also responded to the scene and were extremely helpful with handling the situation. Acadian Airmed transported one patient to University Medical Center in New Orleans and Acadian ground ambulances transported 4 patients to nearby hospitals. Patient conditions are not available to report.

The scene was cleared of emergency vehicles, interstate is now open and state police remained on scene for the wrecker.
