RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE Pearl St. / Pearl River, LA
At approximately 1:12 PM, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 (Pearl River, LA) received a call for the report of a residential structure fire on Pearl St. Units arrived on scene within 2 minutes and they found the residence with smoke showing from the eves. Firefighters made entry and found the fire isolated to a front bedroom. St. Tammany Fire Protection District 1 (Slidell) was requested for mutual aid assistance.
The fire was extinguished and placed under control within 27 minutes with the help of 22 firefighting personnel and 9 units.
The homeowner was not at home at the time of the fire but did arrive home shortly after the fire was extinguished. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist.
The fire was contained to the bedroom but the exact cause is undetermined at this time.
No injuries reported.
