4TH OF JULY: CELEBRATE SAFELY

Each Independence Day, thousands of people, most often children and teens, are injured while using consumer fireworks. Despite the dangers of fireworks, few people understand the associated risks - devastating burns, other injuries, fires, and even death. As fire service professionals, we have always taken the stance that consumer fireworks are extremely dangerous. Even when handled properly by responsible adults the dangers are too extreme. We encourage families to put down the sparklers, put down the roman candles, put the car in drive and head to permitted professional fireworks display.
