SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON HWY 41

It's not too often that we respond to wrecks like the one in the photograph where the results are positive for the driver or passengers.

Around 11:15pm last night St. Tammany Fire Protection District 11 and the Pearl River Police Department responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash with minor injuries on Hwy 41 near the United Methodist Church. When units and personnel arrived on scene, we found the young female driver walking around with what appeared to be minor injuries. The vehicle was in the wood line.

The driver was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and the Pearl River Police Department was handling the investigation. We do know that the driver was wearing her seatbelt which we certainly believe contributed to the driver not receiving significant injuries or worse.
