EXTRICATION TRAINING

Having a major highway and a major interstate running through our fire district, vehicle crashes requiring extrication do happen. Some require only a door being popped open, but each situation is different, and some may require unique tactics to safely extricate patients from damaged vehicles.

For the next 3 days, several members of our fire district are participating in an Advanced Vehicle Extrication hosted by St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1. They will learn skills to manage more complex situations. Looking forward to sharing more photographs and information as the hands-on training kicks off.
