RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE


PEARL RIVER, LA – On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 9:11 AM, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 (Pearl River) responded to a residential structure fire on Craddock Ln. St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 (Slidell) was requested for mutual aid. Personnel and apparatus arrived on scene at 9:16 AM to find the residence with smoke and flames showing. Personnel deployed hoses and began to fight the fire. The fire was extinguished and subsequently placed under control at 9:35 AM. Apparatus were returned to service at 11:01 AM.

The residence was not occupied at the time of the fire and was in the process of being renovated by the owner. No one including fire department personnel were injured in the process of extinguishment.

In total, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 (Pearl River) had 3 firefighting apparatus respond, 1 ambulance and a total of 7 personnel. St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 sent us 3 firefighting apparatus along with command personnel and safety officers for a total of 10 personnel.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated at the time of this release.
