St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 is 1 of 3 fire protection districts within St. Tammany Parish that provides  Advanced Life Support emergency medical care to our citizens. For quite a while, fire departments have been responding to medical calls and cross trained in emergency medical care because fire stations are strategically placed in the community.  Often times the fire department is first on scene of medical emergencies and can initiate care.  St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 can arrive on scene, provide care and transport patient's to the hospital.
